Level Two – Intermediate Gas Safety Training Seminar

Level Two Gas Safety Training Seminar has been designed as a fundamental training course with more in-depth knowledge for your employees involved in welding, brazing, and cutting.

By participating in the Level Two Gas Safety Training Seminar, your employees will learn about the inherent dangers of using gases and to control them safely.  The proper care of equipment and the procedures necessary to create a productive and safe working environment.

This Seminar targets employees who require a more in-depth knowledge of the handling of gas equipment and work as Boilermakers, Fitters, Foremen, Safety Officers, and Supervisors.

This Seminar includes vital information for the following.

PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATIONS ARE CONDUCTED AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Simulated Accidents
  2. Correct Usage of equipment
  3. Means of achieving ultimate safety, by applying the knowledge gained from this Seminar.
  4. Live demonstrations using internationally approved gas safety devices for the prevention of accidents and incidents.

Equipment such as a laptop computer, Proxima Projector, showing more than 80 slides / pictures / graphics are used illustrating the following:

  1. Oxygen
  2. Acetylene
  3. LPG
  4. Hydrogen
  5. Inert gases, Argon CO2 etc
  6. Oxygen and fuel gas equipment, such as torches, regulators, cylinders, hoses etc.
  7. Inherent hazards of misuse
  8. Professional handling of equipment
  9. Causes of accidents and incidents
  10. Accident preventative measures
  11. Check lists.

At the conclusion of the Seminar, examination papers are handed to each participant.  If the pass rate of 80% or higher, depending on your company’s discretion, is achieved in the test, a Certificate of Competency is issued.  These tests are an excellent way to measure the improvement of knowledge.  This Certificate may be used for RPL (Recognition of Previous Learning).

One Acetylene cylinder placed outside the training venue.
